I recently found this first picture from last October; I was about 175lbs 😬 I didn't start my fitness journey until about the second week of January 2017. Monday will be 10 weeks of hard work.
Anyways, recently I've been a little discouraged. I feel like I'm not making "enough" gains. Im not seeing "enough" movement and progress. But it's pictures like these that ground me. I know the angles and lighting are a little different, but you can clearly see a huge difference in my face. I AM making progress. It's slow, but 20lbs in 10 weeks is pretty freaking awesome!
I wanted to share this with you bc maybe you are struggling with seeing progress. Take a step back and look at the WHOLE picture. How far have you come? So you didn't lose 2lbs this week; so what. You are healthier and stronger and more confident than you were last week. I'm preaching to the choir here 🙈 one little scroll through my page and you'll see tons of crying and complaining about progress.
We'll get there. We all will. I'm not quitting. I won't give up. I've come too far and there is too much at stake (i.e. hello beach trips! Lol). .
I also want to give a shout out to the girl in the first picture. She was working 90 hour weeks, with serious mental health issues. She was trying so hard to hold her life together. She was doing more than she ever had, giving more of herself than she ever thought possible, and simultaneously losing all of who she was. Yet she was more beautiful and strong than she ever knew. I love her so much and am so thankful for all her hard work. It took A LOT to realize something had to change, so that she could become the girl in the second picture. I've come a long way in 10 weeks. I'm happier than I've ever been. It's hard, but so worth it. #progresspic #transformationtuesday #weightlosstransformation
