It is the principle of LOVE; loving your clients. Let me state it this way "If you care for your customers well enough, they will reciprocate with their money"
I already know about love you may say but hold on.
As any great principle, it is the application of it that counts.
Let me share what happened with a client today.
I reached out to her as I often do with my clients, past or present, and enquired of her life and business. As we spoke, I asked about areas she thinks she needed help.
She told me how I could come in as an accountability coach, I accepted and we had to talk about the financial commitment.
Long story short, she said to me, paraphrased, "Peter, I will go any length to get the money, even if I borrow all because you cared sincerely about me. Many coaches and thought leaders leave you with materials and have you wander but you follow up and check on me not because you want to sell but because you care." My heart melted.
Mark you, customers know fake emotions when they see it so you must care genuinely.
Question is, how much money have you left on the table because you did not care enough for your customers? How often do you check back on our previous clients and not just chase new ones? Perhaps there can be repeat business.
