Carbs are so low at the moment. From 600g to 200g, but I'm still keeping the intensity the same and making progress. I'm not allowing carbs as an excuse to not push myself. 5 months out! Fail, succeed, place or not. I'm going to give it my all with my sister @melanieliftsnao on the platform. 💪🏽⚡️
Despite the slow progress upwards, I am just thankful I'm squatting with no pain. I have never experienced such pain in my lumbar in my life. My squat has always been my weakest out of the three lifts despite how my quads and glutes are growing so fast from bulking. Genetics. 😅 This is all going to change as I'm leaning towards an overall Strength based protocol, strategically preserving aesthetics, and maximize strength output in the process.
Competing to me is more than just aesthetics or strength, but the ability to grow stronger mentally, which helps you pretty much in All areas of life. It allows you to continue to improve and never give up on any goal in life knowing that failure, obstacles, and setbacks are only temporary. Whether dieting down for the summer, on stage, or for a best platform performance, it is always a very rewarding process in the end. This journey continues..
