New York, New York
He's the sweetest potato. When we first moved into our apartment here in New York City it felt impossible to have a dog. It was snowy and raining which meant frequent slushy black feet and bellies. His happiness cancelled out all the mess and I now can't see myself a day without him. After 8 years of life and many places travelled to, he's become so peaceful and truly loyal with a wild heart. We've created a synced routine and his intelligent little brain knows that when I put my coat on, it's walkies time. When he can't come we give him a peanut butter treat. When we order pizza we give him a slice. When we walk we let him smell every single inch of the sidewalk *most of the time*. When we go to bed we call him to sleep next to us. When we want a photo of him we let him go on the bed and he poses. My hands are dry from constantly washing them after giving him intense rubs; streets are grimy so he is grimy. Plus every time he comes near us he melts in front of you so you can scratch his belly, how can I say no? Apparently you can't wash dogs more than once a month. Anyway, he's simply perfect and my favorite thing of him is his nose.
